RO Finaliștii Blockathon - for public sector challenges Blockathon - hackathon-ul de identificare a soluțiilor bazate pe blockchain pentru provocările din sectorul public s-a derulat în perioada 13-20 februarie 2021. Timp de o săptămână, echipele formate în timpul primului weekend al Blockathon-ului au lucrat la dezvoltarea ideilor de soluții Blockchain care ar ajuta în digitalizarea unor procese complexe din sectorul public, fiind sprijinite de o echipă de 23 de mentori regionali și parteneri din autorități publice. Open Call for Blockchain-focused Startups & SMEs
An open call for European blockchain-focused startups and SMEs has been announced for the B-hub for Europe project. The program was created to support the increasing demand for new technologies across different sectors and mainly far beyond cryptocurrency and bitcoin. The program aims to build a blockchain community around the European ecosystem, map all the main actors in each European country and provide acceleration services that answer the needs of the blockchain startups. Blockchain startups & SMEs interested to scale up, can apply until September 8th on the B-Hub for Europe website. According to a survey conducted by B-Hub for Europe team between March and May 2020, blockchain-based startups & SMEs are in need of support for the following services: Customer Acquisition & Sales, Accessing Public Grants, as well as Funding and Investment opportunities and also, Customer Discovery and Internationalization. 50 startups selected into the 2nd batch of DMS Accelerator
DMS Accelerator has officially announced the 50 startups and SMEs selected to take part in this year’s acceleration program. The companies were selected out of 206 applicants from the EU and other European countries. Who has applied to the program? A total of 32 countries have applied to the program, Romania being among the top 10: The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Finland. The applicants came from 14 various sectors of activity, with the two main sectors being: Healthcare & Artificial Intelligence, followed by Smart Cities & Transport, and Retail & Manufacturing.
