KPMG Startup Grow Pad program – the B2B acceleration program developed by KPMG Romania and Spherik Accelerator, is preparing for their Demo Night, on March 7, in Bucharest.
The program was launched in 2018 with the aim to help startups find the right resources and support to grow, through a strategic partnership with KPMG Romania. Following a six months collaboration period, Nifty Learning, iFactor, Jobful, Box2m and SYT.app – the 5 startups in the program will present their progress to the audience, during the Demo Night.
During this period, startups had meetings with both KPMG Romania managers and Spherik’s team, working to improve various aspects of their businesses, such as product, business model, go-to-market strategy. KPMG Romania also became a client for some of them, using the products internally. For other startups it opened doors to other clients for proof-of-concept implementation.
René Schöb, Partner at KPMG in Romania, adds more details: “Technology impacts all business aspects and it is in our vision to be at pace with this evolution and to provide our clients with best services and products possible to achieve their aim. Thus the fit with the startups in the program was good as we had the chance to test the products ourselves and with clients and see how they can work in real life. This first edition was aiming to validate the model we have thought to apply for the collaborations and to kick-off a long term commitment for creating partnerships with these startups. We will go on with the activities and we’re looking for new startups with whom we can develop long term common plans.”
“We see a good match and a lot of business possibilities between startups and big companies and thus the collaboration with KPMG Romania was fruitful. Our role was to facilitate the connection between the two and help progress through the collaboration. The main challenges usually arise in accommodating expectations from both sides and this requires a good understanding of what both can offer, what the needs are and the aims.” says Mircea Vădan, program manager.
The Demo Night begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, 7th of March, at Baneasa Grand Cinema, and welcomes investors, corporate representatives, entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts. Invitations to the event can be requested by filling in this form.
